Quality Assurance Tester (VOD Platform)

About the role

1001 is looking for a mid-level, full-time QA Tester to work on its VOD platform. You will test the application thoroughly, find and report software defects, and check that the platform works well and performs as expected. The position is on-site and requires fluent Arabic and excellent English.

Key responsibilities

• Test the VOD platform to find and report software defects, usability issues and functional problems.
• Develop and run test cases and test scripts covering functionality, performance and compatibility.
• Work with other teams to reproduce, troubleshoot and fix reported issues.
• Track defects in bug-tracking systems and make sure they are followed up and closed on time.
• Help write and maintain test plans and test reports.
• Keep up with industry best practices and new technologies to improve the QA process.

Required profile

• Fluent Arabic and excellent English.
• Computer engineering or science degree, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of QA testing experience, or a similar role in a VOD, digital media or streaming company is preferred.
• Good communication, problem-solving and documentation skills; detail-focused and adaptable.
