Team Lead – Pharmaceutical Commercial Operations (Basra)

About the role

Salutem Pharma GmbH is seeking a part‑time Team Lead to manage its commercial and operational activities in Basra, Iraq. The role involves guiding a small local team to promote the company’s pharmaceutical portfolio, build relationships with healthcare professionals and distributors, and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily sales visits, product promotion, and market coverage.
• Monitor team performance against targets and provide coaching.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance with company policies.
• Support participation in local medical events and gather market feedback.
• Collaborate with regional and head‑office teams to align strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing or healthcare operations, preferably in Iraq or similar markets.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership abilities, including task delegation and performance monitoring.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals, distributors and internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of ethical, evidence‑based medical promotion and basic therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular, gastrointestinal or chronic diseases.
• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, business or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English; German is an asset.
