TAR Supervisor

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced TAR Supervisor to join its Iraq Business Unit in Basra. The role supports the TAR Lead in delivering the Turnaround and Maintenance (TAR) programme for a major on‑shore brownfield project, ensuring safe and efficient execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the TAR Lead with planning, mobilisation and execution of the TAR programme.
• Promote a strong HSE culture, lead Toolbox Talks and ensure compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on turnarounds, maintenance and fixed‑equipment scopes, including pressure‑vessel repairs.
• Manage concurrent activities, de‑conflict SIMOPS and coordinate with Maintenance, Inspection, Engineering, Operations and Projects.
• Oversee vendor logistics, spares, scaffolding and other enabling resources on site.
• Support process isolation, de‑pressurising, draining, flushing, purging and spading to enable safe equipment shutdown and re‑commissioning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in turnarounds and maintenance within the oil, gas or water systems sector.
• Strong understanding of pressure‑vessel repair procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple activities safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication with cross‑functional teams.
