Structural & Civil Works Inspector (QA/QC)

About the role

The Structural & Civil Works Inspector (QA/QC) will ensure that all civil and structural activities on the KBR project in Abu Al Khaseeb, Basra are performed in strict accordance with project specifications, drawings, codes and standards. The role provides independent inspection, verification and quality monitoring of the EPC contractor and its subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections of earthworks, grading, compaction, foundations, piling, concrete works, structural steel erection, roads and drainage.
• Witness and verify construction tests such as soil testing, compaction tests, concrete slump and curing tests, rebar and formwork inspections.
• Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports, track progress and quality status, and raise non‑conformities (NCRs) with corrective actions.
• Review and validate Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Quality Control Plans (QCP), inspection reports (ITR), RFIs and as‑built documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC lead, discipline engineers, construction supervisors and third‑party inspectors.
• Support resolution of technical and quality issues and ensure compliance with approved drawings and AFC documents.

Required profile

• Iraqi national with a valid driving licence and own vehicle for daily commuting.
• Full‑time availability for a 48‑hour work week (8 h / day, 6 days).
• Experience in construction inspection and quality control for civil and structural works.
