Delivery Manager (Expat Position)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead construction activities on a major petrochemical project in Kirkuk, Iraq. The role involves overseeing subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards, and delivering the project on schedule and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise subcontractors and site engineers, ensuring work follows design, specifications, standards and QHSE requirements.
• Determine labour requirements, dispatch workers, and obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
• Monitor site progress, installation of equipment, and maintain a 2‑4 week look‑ahead schedule, recommending additional resources when needed.
• Report progress to the Project Contracts Manager and collaborate with the Construction Manager on cost monitoring and budget deviations.
• Identify design issues, propose cost‑effective redesign solutions, and ensure the construction schedule is maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, investigate incidents, and ensure proper HSE procedures are followed.
• Represent the company daily with clients, consultants and subcontractors, upholding contractual and legislative requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in petrochemical or oil & gas construction projects.
• Degree or HND in a relevant technical discipline.
• Strong health, safety and environmental ethos.
• Proven ability to work in diverse, integrated teams across multiple locations.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
