Store Supervisor – Dark Store Operations

About the role

The Store Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day operations of a Baly dark‑store, ensuring that grocery orders are prepared accurately, on time, and in line with Baly’s ultra‑fast delivery promise. You will manage a picker/packer team, coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain and Delivery, and maintain high standards of inventory accuracy and store cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily dark‑store activities, supervising the picker/packer team.
• Ensure customer orders are picked, packed and handed to riders within the target SLA.
• Monitor picking speed, accuracy, short‑picks, substitutions and resolve order issues.
• Manage receiving, GRN, put‑away, replenishment and internal stock movements.
• Maintain high inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies and conduct regular cycle counts.
• Track out‑of‑stock, damaged, expired or near‑expiry products and take corrective actions.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of ambient, chilled, frozen, fresh and ultra‑fresh items.
• Keep the store clean, organized and stocked according to shelving standards.
• Manage team attendance, shift scheduling, productivity and performance.
• Escalate operational, system, equipment, inventory or staffing issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with Baly’s SOPs, food‑safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in store or warehouse operations, grocery retail, FMCG or Q‑commerce.
• Previous team supervision experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory, receiving, picking, packing and stock control.
• Demonstrated operational ownership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage teams effectively.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and peak periods.
