About the role
Hitachi Energy is looking for a motivated Service Sales Engineer to drive service sales growth in the energy sector. Working closely with the Service Sales Manager, you will generate opportunities, secure profitable sales, and deliver exceptional value to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities within assigned territories and customer segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their operational challenges and strategic objectives.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, presentations, and demonstrations of Hitachi’s service portfolio.
- Negotiate and close service agreements, ensuring alignment with company targets and customer expectations.
- Conduct technical assessments and provide expert consultation on suitable Hitachi service solutions, including maintenance, support, upgrades, and managed services.
- Collaborate with internal technical and product teams to customize service offerings and ensure technical feasibility.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in the service sector.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and analyses for management review.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in service sales, technical sales, or field engineering within the industrial manufacturing sector.
- Solid understanding of industrial systems, IT infrastructure, and Hitachi product offerings.
- Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and service delivery models.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
