Senior Project Associate – Livelihoods

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support the Enterprise Development Fund (EDF) technical team in Dohuk, Iraq. The role focuses on implementing quality‑assurance processes, maintaining standard operating procedures, and acting as a focal point for Environmental & Social Action Plan (ESAP) and Milestone Verification (MV) activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for ESAP and MV procedures within the EDF technical team.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of quality‑assurance processes for EDF activities.
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs related to EDF processes under your responsibility.
• Liaise regularly with IOM field staff to respond to requests, track progress, and follow up on any delays.
• Coordinate with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other partners as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field, with at least four years of relevant professional experience.
• Alternatively, a relevant school diploma with six years of experience.
• Proven experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking or other vulnerable groups.
• Demonstrated ability to work with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, UN agencies and NGOs.
