Senior Operations Coordinator

About the role

The Senior Operations Coordinator supports senior management of the Americas Programs business area, ensuring operational excellence across multiple programs. Based in Balad, Iraq, the role works closely with program managers, providing oversight, reporting, and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee assigned programs in line with Vectrus and government policies, including P&L responsibility.
• Mentor and develop subordinate program managers and key staff, supporting succession planning.
• Participate in business development activities such as milestone reviews, strategy development, and customer capture.
• Manage program planning, phase‑in/start‑up, subcontracting strategy, contract changes, and daily customer relations.
• Coordinate horizontal integration with other functional operations, Centers of Excellence, and support systems.
• Prepare and review technical and financial reports for senior management and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Undergraduate degree preferred; five years of general experience and three years of leadership experience.
• Experience with host‑country passenger vehicle operations is a plus.
• Ability to work in a high‑tempo, mission‑critical environment.
