Senior HR Advisor (Basra, Onsite)

About the role

The Senior HR Advisor acts as the primary HR Business Partner for assigned IFMS departments at the Majnoon Oil Field. The role provides end‑to‑end HR support across the employee lifecycle, from mobilization to demobilization, ensuring compliance with KBR policies, Iraqi Labor Law and client contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main HR contact for employees and line managers, delivering day‑to‑day generalist advice and resolving queries.
• Conduct structured HR inductions, including policy briefings, site orientation, Workday self‑service walkthroughs and HR office introductions.
• Maintain accurate personnel records, track contractual changes, position amendments and entitlement updates.
• Administer attendance, leave and timesheet data, validate anomalies and coordinate corrections with payroll.
• Monitor contract expiry dates and renewal timelines.
• Support performance management cycles, assist with appraisals, improvement plans and probationary reviews.
• Manage employee relations cases from initial query through fact‑finding, hearings and case closure.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Advisor.
• Strong knowledge of Iraqi Labor Law and KBR HR policies.
• Ability to handle employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining records and managing timelines.

Required skills

• Workday (HRIS) proficiency.
