Senior English Instructor

About the role

The Senior English Instructor will join 4level1’s Baghdad campus to deliver high‑quality, CEFR‑aligned English lessons for adult and young adult learners. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on communicative, learner‑centered teaching.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that meet CEFR standards.
• Teach individual and group classes, assess learner progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior teachers and contribute to curriculum development.
• Maintain accurate teaching records and support student engagement.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Advanced command of English (near‑native fluency) with strong classroom management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL or related field; teaching certifications such as CELTA, TESOL or TEFL are highly beneficial.
• Several years of experience teaching English to adults or young adults in communicative programs.
• Experience mentoring or leading other instructors and contributing to curriculum development is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and support inclusive, learner‑centered practices.
