Child, Adolescent, and Youth Engagement Technical Advisor

About the role

The Child, Adolescent, and Youth Engagement Technical Advisor provides technical leadership for community‑based psychosocial support and youth‑focused initiatives. Based in Erbil, the advisor works closely with program managers to design, implement, and evaluate interventions that empower children, adolescents, and youth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and updating of curricula and materials for group‑ and community‑based activities.
• Train and mentor staff to deliver curricula effectively and provide ongoing technical support.
• Develop and maintain robust MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning) systems to assess impact and gather community feedback.
• Collaborate with program teams to align interventions with strategic goals and community needs.
• Oversee the operationalization of psychosocial support and community development activities, ensuring cultural relevance and technical soundness.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in psychosocial support, community development, or youth engagement.
• Proven ability to design curricula and facilitate training.
• Strong analytical skills for MEAL system development and impact assessment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
