About the role
Iratrac, the authorized dealer for Caterpillar, SEM and Perkins in Iraq, is looking for a full‑time Sales Engineer to join its Basra office. You will act as the technical bridge between customers and our product portfolio, ensuring the right equipment is matched to client needs and driving successful sales outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and analyse client requirements for heavy‑equipment and power solutions.
- Recommend appropriate Caterpillar, SEM or Perkins equipment and prepare technical proposals.
- Facilitate the sales process from quotation to contract signing.
- Provide on‑site and remote technical support, answering product‑related inquiries.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive follow‑up.
- Collaborate closely with sales, service and engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in sales engineering and aligning technical solutions with customer needs.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities related to equipment and technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Background in sales and customer service with a focus on industrial equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in power‑generation plants and diesel generators is a plus.
