Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Iraq)

About the role

The Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect clinical care to patients in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment. Working as part of an interdisciplinary team, the RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while advocating for patients and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Assist medical providers with procedures and treatments within the licensed scope of practice.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and medications.
• Develop and maintain observable, measurable patient goals and care plans.
• Report any changes in patient condition promptly to the medical provider.
• Administer basic nursing care independently, including catheter insertion, blood and urine specimen collection, EKGs, visual acuity testing, wound care, bandage changes and medication administration.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and provide education to promote self‑care.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the jurisdiction of practice.
• Experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and patient‑centered attitude.
