CT/X-ray Radiographer (Radiologic Technician)

About the role

Provide diagnostic imaging within an international healthcare program in Baghdad, Iraq. Perform CT and X‑ray examinations while ensuring patient safety and technical precision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ordered diagnostic X‑ray and CT examinations.
• Prepare and position patients, adjust immobilization devices, and configure imaging equipment and exposure controls.
• Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and document services in patient and departmental records.
• Apply radiation protection techniques and follow infection‑control, safety, contrast‑reaction, first‑aid, and emergency protocols.
• Participate in mass‑casualty exercises and compliance education.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program (diploma, certificate, or associate degree) or equivalent military/foreign training.
• At least three years recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with six months within the past year.
• Current unrestricted professional license and ARRT certification (or equivalent), including ARRT CT certification.
• Current BLS certification (or approved equivalent).
• Valid passport with at least 18 months before expiration and ability to obtain required security clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CT and X‑ray imaging equipment.
• Knowledge of radiation protection and infection‑control practices.
• Ability to use electronic medical records systems.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective English reading, writing, and speaking.
