Project Manager – Kabta Towers Development

About the role

The Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, coordination and delivery of the Kabta Towers mixed‑use development in Basra, Iraq. Reporting to senior management, the role owns the project from initiation through construction to final handover, ensuring scope, quality, cost, schedule, safety and stakeholder satisfaction are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution of the project from mobilisation through completion and handover.
• Develop and maintain execution strategies, master schedules, resource plans and reporting systems.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor performance, manage risks, delays and technical challenges proactively.
• Ensure compliance with budgets, contractual requirements, timelines and quality standards.
• Oversee project controls including planning, scheduling, cost management, forecasting and reporting.
• Manage contractual matters such as variations, claims, procurement activities and negotiations.
• Lead project meetings and provide structured executive reporting to senior management.
• Implement HSEQ standards across all project activities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• PMP certification is highly preferred; additional certifications in Project Controls, Contract Management, Risk Management or Construction Management are a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of experience managing large‑scale construction or mixed‑use development projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong knowledge of international engineering, quality, sustainability and operational excellence standards.
