Program Coordinator – Iraq

About the role

Culmen International is looking for a Program Coordinator to support a potential Department of State‑funded initiative in Iraq. The role will be based in Iraq and will involve extensive travel across the country to deliver counter‑terrorism and border‑security training to local law‑enforcement agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government, police, and border‑security agencies to secure buy‑in for program activities.
• Coordinate logistics for trainings, workshops, and related local events.
• Liaise with local communities and broader stakeholders as required by the program.
• Prepare timely reports and provide contextual information on regional developments.
• Contribute to program design, monitoring, and evaluation, including managing pre‑ and post‑course surveys.
• Support team meetings, assist colleagues, and propose solutions to operational challenges.

Required profile

• Experience delivering international foreign‑assistance projects.
• Background in project financial management.
• Proven experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programmes.
• Understanding of U.S. Department of State assistance programmes.
• Familiarity with counter‑terrorism, investigative techniques, intelligence, or law‑enforcement contexts.
