Procurement Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Supervisor to lead our purchasing team in the telecommunications sector. The role ensures the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality, cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the procurement team.
• Review and approve purchase requisitions and orders according to the Delegation of Authority.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures and ethical standards.
• Source, evaluate and manage suppliers to achieve best value in quality, price, delivery and service.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Conduct market research to identify cost‑saving opportunities and alternative sourcing strategies.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support operational needs.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and vendor databases.
• Participate in budgeting, planning and cost‑control initiatives.
• Provide regular updates to management on procurement activities, expenditures, savings and supplier performance.
• Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies, procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand requirements and ensure effective service delivery.
• Support contract administration and monitor compliance with contractual obligations.
• Identify procurement and supply‑chain risks and recommend mitigation measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of procurement experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑leading role.
• Experience in telecommunications, ICT, network infrastructure or technology‑related procurement is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, vendor management and contract administration.
• Good understanding of budgeting and cost‑control practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle or Odoo.
