Piping Supervisor

About the role

The Piping Supervisor will join Wood’s Iraq Business Unit, working on‑site in Basra to support and enforce project guidelines and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives for a fast‑track oil and gas development project.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enforce project guidelines and HSE objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in Job Safety Analyses, identify and stop unsafe conditions, and report incidents.
• Oversee piping construction activities, including installation of a new 24‑inch export pipeline and related flowlines.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to ensure schedule adherence.
• Provide on‑site supervision, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Travel as required to project sites and support field operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Piping Supervisor in oil and gas or related industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of piping construction, installation and commissioning processes.
• Ability to enforce HSE policies and conduct safety analyses.
• Experience working on fast‑track, schedule‑driven projects.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
