Onsite Male Gym Supervisor

About the role

The Physical Training Centre Supervisor ensures safe, compliant, and effective management of the on‑site gym and fitness facilities at a KBR‑operated oil & gas site. The role supports workforce health, wellbeing, and fatigue management while upholding KBR’s HSSE standards and safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate visible HSSE leadership, enforce Life‑Saving Rules and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain risk assessments, task risk assessments and job safety analyses for all fitness activities.
• Maintain emergency preparedness, including First Aid and AED readiness, and ensure clear emergency response procedures.
• Manage daily operations of the gym, training spaces, games areas, swimming pool and sauna, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, ventilation and capacity limits.
• Conduct and record equipment inspections, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and certify fitness equipment.
• Deliver or supervise fitness programmes for shift workers and physically demanding roles, and conduct mandatory gym inductions.
• Supervise gym attendants, fitness instructors or subcontracted staff, enforce conduct standards and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a physical training or fitness facility, preferably in an industrial or oil & gas environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, Life‑Saving Rules and permit‑to‑work processes.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, incident reporting and emergency response coordination.
• Leadership skills to supervise staff and enforce professional conduct.
