National Consultant for Evidence Generation and Data Analysis on Teenage Mothers

About the role

UNICEF Iraq is looking for a national consultant to lead the evidence generation and data analysis for the Teenage Mothers Assessment. The role will support evidence‑based programming and policy dialogue for vulnerable adolescent mothers across Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analysis of assessment data.
• Identify key findings, trends, vulnerabilities and service gaps affecting teenage mothers.
• Prepare analytical reports and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Provide training and capacity‑building support to government counterparts and development partners on data collection, analysis and evidence utilization.
• Collaborate with UNICEF, government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure findings inform policy and programme design.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Statistics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, Data Analysis, Research Methodology or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data analysis, research, assessments or evidence generation for vulnerable populations, adolescents or social protection programmes.
• Experience working with government institutions, NGOs, UN agencies or international organisations is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical and data analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, STATA or Power BI.
• Strong analytical, report‑writing and presentation abilities.
• Experience delivering trainings and capacity‑building activities.
