MoPA Advisor – Kurdish Speaker – US Citizen with Secret Clearance

About the role
The Hoplite Group seeks a Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs (MoPA) Advisor to support USMILGP‑I in Erbil. The advisor will provide strategic advice, mentorship, training, and liaison to senior leaders of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs, helping strengthen defense institutions and improve governance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver strategic‑level counsel and coaching to senior MoPA officials.
- Assess organizational performance and develop actionable recommendations.
- Prepare executive‑level reports, briefings, and assessments.
- Facilitate coordination between Kurdish military leaders, U.S. government personnel, and multinational partners.
- Support multiple functional areas such as force development, logistics, strategic planning, and professional military education.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Fluent in English and Kurdish.
- Extensive knowledge of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs.
- Prior strategic‑level experience supporting U.S. forces in Iraq since 2011.
- Proven ability to work with senior military and government leaders.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
