Mechanical Field Service Specialist – Gas Turbines

About the role

You will work on‑site performing hands‑on installation, overhaul, maintenance and servicing of gas turbines and their critical components such as combustion chambers and burners. The role requires close collaboration with a multicultural team to ensure safety, quality and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Execute gas turbine maintenance, refurbishment, assembly and disassembly activities, including work on turbine frames, casings and related components.
• Follow the highest EHS standards, including safe practices for confined spaces, work at height and Foreign Material Exclusion.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, P&ID diagrams and test records to guide work.
• Support lifting, rigging, inspection and assessment tasks to evaluate equipment condition.
• Document all installations, inspections, repairs and performance records accurately.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of field service experience; 1–2 years of maintenance on prime movers in power stations is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel frequently, work abroad and on shift patterns.

Required skills

• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (feeler gauges, micrometers, calipers, dial gauges, block gauges).
• Experience in gas turbine maintenance and combustion chamber servicing.
• Knowledge of hydraulic tightening equipment such as Hytorc/ITH.
• Familiarity with technical documentation, including engineering drawings and P&ID diagrams.
