Mechanical Engineer – Static Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in static equipment to join our team. The role involves maintaining and optimizing mechanical systems used in the global energy industry, ensuring reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repair of various mechanical equipment.
• Supervise and prioritize work for technicians, providing mentorship to junior staff.
• Conduct advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting activities and function testing to verify equipment readiness.
• Interpret mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints to identify correct parts and support procurement.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in Halliburton’s system of record following HMS processes.
• Provide technical support for static equipment, conduct detailed evaluations, and contribute to root‑cause failure analysis.
• Review and approve mechanical data sheets, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor proposals for compliance.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOP studies, vendor qualification and bid evaluations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, or related fields.
• Ability to work under broad direction as a subject‑matter expert.
