Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Wood is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for its Iraq business unit, which supports complex upstream and midstream oil and gas projects through maintenance, modification and engineering solutions. The role coordinates and controls logistics activities so that materials, equipment and supplies are transported, received, stored, moved and delivered efficiently. It is a full-time on-site position in Kirkuk, Iraq, reporting to the Construction Lead / Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and monitor transportation schedules from origin to destination
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, operations, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities and project teams
• Prepare shipping documentation such as packing lists, manifests, delivery notes and customs declarations
• Coordinate warehouse receipt, storage, issue and dispatch, and track inventory movements
• Support cycle counts, stock verification and inventory reconciliation, and flag shortages, delays and surpluses
• Coordinate mobilization and demobilization, and prepare logistics status reports
• Monitor transportation costs and promote safe working practices in line with HSSE policies

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Professional logistics or supply chain certification preferred; Dangerous Goods Transportation certification desirable but not essential
• Minimum 3-5 years of logistics, supply chain, warehouse or transportation coordination experience
• Experience with Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction or Industrial projects preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of international shipping processes and customs requirements
• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Maximo, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong organization, planning, communication and stakeholder management skills
