Kurdish Language Teacher (Full‑time, Sulaymaniyah)

About the role

Cambridge International School – Kurdistan is seeking a full‑time Kurdish Teacher for its Sulaymaniyah campus. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Kurdish language lessons that align with the Cambridge International curriculum and the school’s high educational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Kurdish language lessons for various age groups.
• Design and adapt teaching materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
• Maintain a supportive and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Provide regular feedback to students and families.
• Participate in staff meetings, curriculum development and school events.
• Engage in continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Kurdish Language, Linguistics or a related field; teaching certification is a plus.
• Proven experience delivering structured lessons to school‑age learners.
• Fluency in Kurdish and strong command of English; additional local languages are advantageous.
• Experience in international or Cambridge curriculum schools is beneficial.
• Ability to create an inclusive classroom that respects cultural diversity.
• Professionalism, reliability and a commitment to ongoing growth.
