HVAC Mechanical Supervisor – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

The HVAC Mechanical Supervisor will lead day‑to‑day heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning activities for KBR’s Majnoon Oil Field projects. The role ensures safe, reliable and regulatory‑compliant operation of all HVAC assets while supporting upgrades, shutdowns and new installations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC technicians and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Execute preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance for chillers, package units, split units, ventilation systems and industrial cooling equipment.
• Perform technical troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical HVAC components.
• Prepare and review work permits, job hazard analyses and method statements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, Instrumentation and Projects teams to align field activities and shutdown schedules.
• Monitor contractor performance, maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment histories and spare‑parts records.
• Assist engineering teams with design reviews, material requisitions and technical evaluations.
• Track inventory levels and ensure availability of critical spares.
• Train and mentor technicians, and participate in incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC Technology.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in HVAC maintenance within oil & gas or power projects.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a high‑hazard environment.
