About the role
Careers International is recruiting an HVAC Engineer in Basra within the oil and gas sector. The role suits someone with extensive experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance in oil and gas plants such as refineries, LNG facilities or petrochemical sites, or as a field engineer during plant erection and commissioning.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in HVAC or a similar field (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
- 10+ years of work experience; mandatory, preferably with GCC and/or oil refinery exposure
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in upstream oil and gas operations
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment and control systems
- Familiarity with Process Safety Pillars and relevant elements
- Good communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, prioritisation and planning skills
- Ability to evaluate technical, economic, environmental and safety aspects before decisions
