Quality Specialist

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Quality Specialist to perform quality audits across all areas of the project. The QC section operates functionally independently so that corporate management can be alerted promptly when specifications or craftsmanship issues cannot be resolved at project level. The position may be in a war zone, in harsh desert-like conditions with temperatures of 120-130 F (50-55 C) in summer, and requires deployment to Iraq for extended periods.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality audits and inspections.
• Document quality audits accurately, including operating instructions, desktop procedures, work processes, technical orders and metrics.
• Use English fluently in all work products.
• Follow Amentum's safety, quality and procedure-compliance policies, and complete required training and safety duties.

Required profile

• Five years' experience performing quality inspections; QA/QC credentials strongly preferred.
• Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Favorable RSO security certification and maintenance of security eligibility for the contract duration.
• Favorable drug screen and physical examination results.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Willingness to work 6 days a week, 10 hours a day, in a fast-paced multinational environment, including heavy lifting and outdoor work.

• Advanced visual inspection and verification of materials, equipment, tools, areas and documentation.
• Reading and applying standards, specifications, regulations and technical procedures.
• MS Office suite, with Word and Excel required.
• Writing and presenting reports and oral presentations.
• Organizational and time management skills.
