Project Manager – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Operations & Maintenance activities for the ROO project in Basra, Iraq. The role involves ensuring safe, timely delivery of maintenance crews and supporting the re‑nationalisation of oil and gas production.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, successful and timely operation and maintenance services, guiding resolution of complex project issues.
• Mentor local Iraqi staff, facilitate audits, inspections and safety observation tours, and ensure compliance with HSE policies.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams, monitor progress against procurement plans and work schedules, and manage concurrent activities safely.
• Prepare detailed daily, weekly and monthly reports, support project controls, and contribute to root‑cause analysis studies.

Required profile

• 15+ years of senior‑level experience in petrochemical or oil & gas projects/operations.
• Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong health, safety and environmental ethos with proven leadership in multicultural teams.
• Ability to mentor staff, manage performance, and drive continuous improvement.
