HV Technician – Electrical Balance of Plant (Basra, Iraq)

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced HV Technician to join its Singapore Business Unit and provide Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services for the Electrical Balance of Plant during the operation period. This is a full‑time onsite position based in Basra, Iraq, with occasional travel requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on high‑voltage equipment in line with customer procedures and maintenance plans.
• Execute corrective maintenance actions to address equipment failures or deviations.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements.
• Document maintenance activities and report findings according to client guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a high‑voltage technician in an O&M environment.
• Willingness to work onsite in Basra and travel as needed.
• Strong adherence to safety standards and procedural compliance.
