Health and Environmental Supervisor

About the role

The Health and Environmental Supervisor will support the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) across all SBIPRO operations in Basra, Iraq. Reporting to HSSE, the role involves daily field inspections, compliance verification, and coordination of environmental monitoring programs.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support the EMS across all project activities.
• Conduct field‑level environmental inspections and verify compliance with Iraqi regulations and company HSSE standards.
• Execute environmental monitoring programs (air emissions, wastewater, soil, groundwater) and ensure proper sampling and documentation.
• Monitor waste management procedures, spill prevention, and pollution control measures.
• Support occupational health surveillance, pre‑employment medical exams, and industrial hygiene monitoring (noise, dust, heat stress, chemicals).
• Assist with environmental incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
• Collect field data and contribute to monthly environmental performance reports.

Required profile

• Iraqi candidate with at least 10 years of solid Oil & Gas experience.
• Proven experience in environmental compliance, monitoring, and waste management.
• Familiarity with Iraqi environmental regulations and HSSE standards.
• Ability to work on a daily/rotational basis in field conditions.
