Environmental Supervisor

About the role

The Environmental Supervisor provides technical environmental support for the Majnoon Oilfield Development (MFD). The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Iraqi environmental legislation, managing emergency response, and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement environmental policies and practices across the MFD.
• Develop strategies, tools and systems to monitor performance and achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with Iraqi environmental legislation and company standards.
• Collect, analyse and report environmental performance data to internal teams, clients and regulators.
• Oversee contractor compliance with all environmental policies.
• Conduct environmental inspections, produce inspection reports and manage corrective actions.
• Support field surveys, soil & groundwater, noise and air‑quality monitoring programs.
• Analyse passive tube and STP readings and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Schedule and manage housekeeping campaigns and keep abreast of legislative changes.
• Produce educational resources for staff on environmental topics.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in environmental functions such as emissions, disturbed‑land remediation, biodiversity, ecological impact assessment, EMS and waste minimisation.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to drive change.
• Experience supporting large‑scale oilfield operations.
