Fire Inspector

About the role

The Fire Inspector will support LOGCAP operations in Iraq, reporting to the Fire Prevention Lead. This role conducts fire prevention activities, including inspections, investigations, public education, plan reviews, and acceptance inspections of fire protection systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document fire inspections of all facilities.
• Review construction and renovation plans to ensure compliance with fire protection policies and UFC guidance.
• Manage the fire extinguisher exchange program and conduct related training for Facility Managers and Fire Wardens.
• Conduct final acceptance inspections on new construction and renovation projects in coordination with DPW.
• Maintain records of sprinkler system testing and participate in Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) programs.
• Assist with fire investigations according to AR 420‑1 specifications.
• Support long‑range goals for protection of personnel, facilities, materials, and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma (associate degree in Fire Science preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of related fire inspection or fire prevention experience.
• IFSAC or Proboard certification, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, and HazMat Operations certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host‑nation driver’s license.
• Fluent reading, speaking and writing in English.
