Environmental Supervisor – HSE

About the role

The Environmental Supervisor provides technical environmental support for the Majnoon Oilfield Development (MFD). The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Iraqi environmental legislation, managing emergency response, and driving continuous improvement in environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement environmental policies and practices across the MFD.
• Develop strategies, tools, and systems to monitor performance and achieve targets.
• Ensure compliance with Iraqi environmental regulations and international standards where applicable.
• Conduct contractor audits, inspections, and enforce environmental policies.
• Lead field environmental surveys, soil & groundwater, noise, and air‑quality monitoring programs.
• Collect, analyse, and report environmental data to internal teams, clients, and regulators.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental reports.
• Manage housekeeping campaigns and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislative changes.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in emissions, disturbed‑land remediation, biodiversity, ecological impact assessment, and waste minimisation.
• Proven experience with environmental management systems (EMS) and Iraqi environmental legislation.
• Customer‑focused mindset with ability to drive change and influence contractors.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
