Enterprise Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Enterprise Engineer to design, develop and maintain the internal platforms and enterprise systems that power Baly’s digital services across Iraq. The role focuses on building secure, high‑performance backend services and ensuring seamless integration with third‑party and internal applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable internal platforms, APIs and micro‑services.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems, third‑party platforms and enterprise applications.
• Implement Identity & Access Management, Role‑Based Access Control and other security best practices.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Operations and Product teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
• Optimize system performance, reliability and database efficiency.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system stability.
• Perform other engineering duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in backend software engineering or enterprise platform development.
• Strong experience with Go, Python, Java or Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience building REST APIs or gRPC services.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB or similar databases.
• Understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, IAM and RBAC concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
