National Programme Data and Reporting Officer

About the role

The National Programme Data and Reporting Officer will support IOM Iraq’s multi‑sector programmes from the Erbil Sub‑Office, ensuring accurate data collection, validation and reporting across emergency and development portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme data collection, consolidation and cleaning from multiple units and field offices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot IOM’s data management systems, update Results Matrices and ensure data integrity.
• Track project indicators, flag implementation delays and suggest corrective actions.
• Prepare mission‑wide reports for internal and inter‑agency requirements (IQ, IQBIS, UNSDCF, etc.).
• Develop dashboards, infographics and visualisations to inform management and donor communications.
• Provide technical guidance and training on data tools (Kobo, Excel, Access, Power BI) and enforce data protection standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, statistics, information management, data science or related field, or a university degree with two years relevant experience.
• At least five years of experience in programme data management, analysis and reporting in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Fluency in English; Arabic and Kurdish are an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Experience with SQL databases, Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools.
• Knowledge of mobile data‑collection platforms such as Kobo.
• Understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks and results‑based reporting.
