Electrical Engineer – University Lab Support

About the role

This full‑time Electrical Engineer position supports teaching and learning activities within the Engineering Faculty of Tishk International University in Erbil. The role focuses on preparing, maintaining, and operating laboratory equipment and ensuring a safe, compliant environment for students and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain electrical laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Assist faculty in designing and delivering practical sessions and capstone projects.
• Conduct tests, measurements, and document experimental results.
• Support students during laboratory exercises and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate on lab manuals, technical documentation, and procedural improvements.
• Contribute to planning and implementation of new electrical engineering facilities or upgrades on campus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Solid understanding of core electrical engineering principles such as circuit analysis, power systems, control systems, and electronics.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation while applying safety standards.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple courses or labs simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
