Early Talent Trainee 2027 - Commercial Operations

About the role

Baker Hughes' Emerging Talent Trainee Programme is designed for recent graduates to build a long-term career in a global energy technology company. Over 24 months, trainees gain hands-on experience, structured development and exposure to commercial operations through real business projects, mentoring and on-the-job learning. The internal title for this role is Early Career Trainee.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, bids and tender documentation
• Learn and apply commercial processes, systems and business tools
• Assist with customer opportunity tracking, reporting and data analysis
• Collaborate with sales, commercial, finance, operations and project management teams
• Support contract review, commercial compliance and risk assessment and approval processes
• Assist with order booking and project handover
• Conduct market research and business analysis
• Work on cross-functional projects and present outcomes to stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, International Business or a related field
• Graduated within the last 12 months from the programme start date
• Maximum of 12 months of full-time experience (excluding internships, industrial attachments, co-op programmes and part-time work)
• GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent
• Fluent oral and written English and strong communication skills
• Analytical, problem-solving and organisational abilities; leadership potential shown through academic, student, community or extracurricular activities
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, global environment
• Legally entitled to work in the country of application without sponsorship
