Duty Engineer – Mechanical & HVAC Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Duty Engineer to lead mechanical and HVAC maintenance across our property. The role combines hands‑on technical work with supervision of a small engineering team, ensuring all equipment runs safely and efficiently while delivering high‑quality service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and control the preventive maintenance schedule for all mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met throughout the property.
• Follow the preventive maintenance chart strictly and keep accurate records.
• Coordinate with other departments to guarantee satisfaction with the quality and progress of maintenance work.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for engineering staff.
• Allocate tasks to sub‑ordinates according to their capabilities to achieve specified standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within a hospitality environment.
• Strong command of English.
• Ability to identify faults and rectify subsystems.
• Self‑motivated, hands‑on, adaptable to unpredictable events and able to stay calm under pressure.
