Drilling & Wells HSE Officer

About the role

Fisher HR is recruiting a Drilling & Wells HSE Officer for a full-time position in Basrah, Iraq. The role covers continuous oversight of HSE requirements and contractor safety, support to the Senior Supervisor on risk management, and incident investigation.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously control and oversee the application of Company HSE requirements and bridging documents across contractor operations.
• Support the Company's Senior Supervisor in risk identification and risk minimization, especially in downgraded or degraded situations.
• Deliver HSE inductions and verify HSE training compliance for site personnel.
• Coordinate the implementation and updating of contractors' emergency response plans.
• Take part in investigating and analysing incidents, accidents and anomalies, including cause tree analysis when required, and consolidate, issue and follow up investigation reports.

Required profile

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 5 years as a Safety Advisor or equivalent role supporting drilling completion operations.
• Experience in onshore operations is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
