Corporate Relationship Manager – Iraq / Al Basrah

About the role

Bank of Jordan is hiring a Corporate Relationship Manager for its Iraq office in Al Basrah. The role builds and maintains a pipeline of new and existing corporate clients, expands the bank's credit portfolio through advisory support, and leads the team in growing the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new and existing corporate clients.
• Develop and strengthen client relationships to expand the credit portfolio and provide advisory support.
• Conduct industry and credit analyses, prepare recommendations and ensure compliance with bank policies.
• Promote banking products and solutions, including trade finance, treasury and cash management products.
• Conduct client visits and follow up on requests to ensure high service quality and client satisfaction.
• Monitor account performance, overdues and early warning signals, and coordinate with relevant departments for collections and risk management.
• Lead and guide the team in acquiring new clients, retaining existing ones and achieving portfolio growth targets.
• Support the Early Warning System (EWS) process and provide information for effective account management.
• Take part in business continuity and emergency response teams to minimise crisis impact and ensure operational recovery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Banking or a related field.
• At least 8 years of practical experience in banking operations, including at least 5 years in corporate lending.
• Experience with major corporations, commercial and industrial groups and large economic entities is preferred.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
• Thorough knowledge of the bank's products and services.

• Strong direct and cross-selling skills, and proven persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with corporate clients.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, advanced analytical capabilities, and ability to work under pressure.
