Completion Lead - Oil & Gas Commissioning

About the role

A global multi-energy company operating large-scale refining and petrochemical facilities is hiring a Completion Lead for a major oil and gas project (AGUP-2, EPSCC contract, approx. 1,100 million USD). The role covers the preparation phase in Turkey (Istanbul, with an option in the UAE) and the execution phase at the Ratawi Field in North Rumaila, Iraq. The position is resident during preparation and rotates during execution, with three one-week missions to Iraq per year; the duration is 2 years, renewable.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the ICAPS database according to OPERCOM methodology and project breakdown structure for CPF-2 and NWP packages, including interfaces scope
• Coordinate with the company and contractor teams on system boundaries, completion sequences and handover criteria, and validate punch list workflows, preservation routines and maintenance plans
• Review and approve completion procedures, support completion dossiers and develop management tools for monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning progress
• Take part in readiness reviews and interface meetings
• During execution, supervise the company completions support team and ensure timely transfer of quality and construction punch items into the completion database
• Monitor completion progress, resolve conflicts between construction, commissioning and operations, and coordinate RFC, AoC and TOM milestones
• Report completion status, KPIs and handovers accurately and timely, capture lessons learned and act as the company focal point for completions across the AGUP-2 scope
• Supervise a team of 3 company completions support staff and ensure systems are tracked, documented and handed over in line with milestones and company standards

Required profile

• Engineer degree or equivalent technical background (technician accepted based on experience)
• 15+ years of experience in oil and gas projects focused on completion, commissioning or construction
• Proven track record of several successful assignments on similar office or site positions
• Experience working in a client role interfacing with EPSCC contractors
• Fluent English (mandatory)

• Strong knowledge of OPERCOM methodology and ICAPS software (mandatory)
