Commercial Manager – Baghdad, Iraq

About the role

Abdi İbrahim, a leading Turkish pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Commercial Manager to join its Baghdad team. The role will drive sales, demand planning and commercial operations across Iraq, ensuring the company’s products reach the market effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full sales process nationwide, including demand and commercial operations planning.
• Set quarterly sales budgets and accurate product forecasts for each region.
• Define regional KPIs in coordination with marketing and related departments.
• Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity, adjusting plans as needed.
• Lead sales campaigns and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors.
• Visit all provinces quarterly to coach the sales team and sustain customer relationships.
• Achieve sales targets across units, value, and regions.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and participate in annual business planning.
• Support district managers to meet regional budget goals.
• Identify risks and opportunities, providing strategic sales recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar commercial management role.
• Strong understanding of the Iraqi pharmaceutical market and healthcare environment.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning and analytical abilities.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct.

• Good command of written and spoken English.
