Civil Team Lead

About the role

The Civil Team Lead will oversee all civil engineering activities for a thermal power plant project in Erbil, ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and local material requirements. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams and direct supervision of civil engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site surveys, review topographic reports and approve geotechnical investigations.
• Coordinate civil design with other disciplines, ensuring detailed, constructible drawings.
• Review and approve subcontractor packages, technical bids, and vendor design submissions.
• Provide technical support for procurement, construction, and resolve on‑site inquiries.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate the civil engineering team, managing workload and quality.
• Prepare activity reports, define manpower needs, and conduct performance appraisals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10–12 years of design experience in thermal power plant projects.
• Minimum 5 years leading multidisciplinary civil teams.
• Strong knowledge of international and Chinese civil standards and health‑safety regulations.
