Chinese Language Instructor

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Chinese Language Instructor to join our team in Erbil. You will deliver structured Mandarin lessons to learners of varying proficiency, creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Mandarin language lessons for diverse learner groups.
• Develop teaching materials, assessments, and curriculum enhancements.
• Track attendance, evaluate learner progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of performance and contribute to curriculum improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high educational standards.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Chinese Language, Education, Linguistics, or related field.
• Teaching certification or formal training is an advantage.
• Proven experience teaching Chinese, preferably to adult or professional learners.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory teaching practices.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) with accurate pronunciation and grammar.
• Lesson planning and curriculum design.
• Knowledge of Chinese literature and cultural content.
