Associate Quality Assurance – Food Safety & Health

About the role

Talabat is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance professional to support food safety and health‑and‑safety initiatives across its operations. The role works closely with local and central teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to maintain high quality standards for both own‑brand and private‑label products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to achieve business objectives.
• Deliver food safety and quality training, templates and procedures to all employees.
• Conduct food, health and safety inspections, investigations and data analysis of potential hazards.
• Support serious customer complaint escalations, product withdrawals, recalls and incident management.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement internal measures in partnership with senior food safety colleagues.
• Coordinate external laboratory testing, product specification documentation, labeling, nutritional information and supplier audits.
• Execute mystery shopper programmes and product sampling at store level, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Implement health‑and‑safety inspection programmes, audits, corrective actions and staff training.

Required profile

• Degree in food science or a related field.
• Own car and a valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum 3 years experience managing food safety, quality or health‑and‑safety in large‑scale retail grocery, foodservice or manufacturing.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 and relevant health‑and‑safety standards.
