Assistant/Associate/Professor – Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacology

About the role

Tishk International University seeks a full‑time faculty member to join its School of Pharmacy as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacology. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate (and where applicable postgraduate) courses, mentor students, and contribute to the university’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials and practical sessions in clinical pharmacy and pharmacology.
• Supervise student projects, theses and provide academic advising.
• Develop and update curricula in line with international standards.
• Conduct scholarly research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and present findings.
• Participate in academic committees, accreditation and quality‑assurance activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across related departments and support interdisciplinary initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent advanced degree in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacology or a closely related field with a strong academic record.
• Demonstrated teaching experience, including syllabus design, lecture delivery and student assessment.
• Active research profile with publications in reputable journals.
• Excellent English communication skills for lecturing and mentoring diverse student groups.
• Commitment to student‑centered education and ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
• Familiarity with contemporary pharmacy practice, clinical guidelines and evidence‑based medicine; clinical or academic practice experience is an asset.
• Experience with curriculum development, quality assurance and accreditation processes is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with educational technologies and learning management systems.
• Willingness to relocate to Erbil and work on‑site.
