Art Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Art Teacher to join our team in Erbil. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will design and deliver engaging art lessons that cater to learners of varying skill levels, supporting their creative development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously update art curricula aligned with educational goals.
• Prepare lesson materials, demonstrations and teach painting and other visual‑art techniques.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain records.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on school events, exhibitions and projects that promote visual arts.

Required profile

• Strong teaching background in art education.
• Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development for creative subjects.
• Practical artistic skills, especially in painting.
• Ability to manage diverse learner needs and foster an inclusive atmosphere.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and organizational abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in schools, art centers or workshops is an advantage.
• Willingness to take part in exhibitions and continuous professional development.
