About the role
The Aircraft Mechanic II – Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting T-6A aircraft and associated life support systems. The role supports both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a high‑noise, outdoor environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform launch, recovery, pre‑flight, thru‑flight, post‑flight, and phase inspections on T‑6A aircraft.
- Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including repair, installation, and servicing of electro‑mechanical systems, structures, and ground support equipment.
- Document all maintenance actions precisely according to FAA regulations and company manuals.
Required profile
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license in good standing.
- At least four years of heavy aircraft maintenance experience, including 2.5 years on Textron T‑6 Texan II within the last five years.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. passport for facility credentials.
Required skills
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification.
- Experience with OBOGS systems and T‑6 life support equipment.
- Proficiency reading aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring schematics, and blueprints.
- Operation and maintenance of ground support and auxiliary equipment.
